I can only play well and continue to try and help the team and that will speak for itself. Whatever happens, so be it and make the decision tough. I'm not trying to think about it as him versus me, but both of us working together. I think that is the way to look at it.

If guys get in a slump, they go buy a more expensive bat, thinking they're going to do better. Some guys constantly rotate bats.

Homers are nice, especially with men on base. But we don't sit around waiting for them.

Claxton's a community that works well together. They pull together, especially in tough times. They celebrate, if there's something to celebrate, the community comes together to celebrate. If we go through a tough time, the community comes together and supports each other.

It has to be that way. We've done it before, when you go through a streak and rely on one guy and the offense doesn't work that way.

I had him played a little to the hole, a step closer to the bag to try and make the double play. I could see on the first two pitches that he wasn't trying to do too much. I took a step to my right to try and cover a little more ground.

In the playoffs, you're going to see good pitching so it's going to take everybody. But having Garret swing the bat like that will be big for us.

I really think it's all in your head. I always say it's just the bat and the ball. If you're a good hitter, you're a good hitter.
