I decided if I'm going to have roommates, I'd rather they be my family.

In all of this, pray diligently. Pray long and hard every day. Pray for your relationship. Pray for yourself. Pray for your guy. Pray for strength, wisdom, and conviction... Our flesh is weak. But God is strong. Prayer is the antidote.

Remember, in all this, the ultimate goal is to bring God glory. Don't lose sight of that mission.

Instead, view them as brothers in Christ and choose to love them in ways that genuinely bring God glory.

For the first time in history, God said something wasn't good. Something was missing. God then pointed out the problem: "It is not good that the man should be alone".

God gives us different gifts and callings. The gift of marriage is not given to every woman, nor is the gift of bearing children. It is not a given that every woman will marry, or that married women will be able to bear children. What IS a given is that all women are called to be spiritually fruitful. The Lord wants all women... to have a "household" and be the "joyful mother of children".

Just because a guy is a Christian doesn't automatically mean he is a good fit for me (or that I am a good fit for him). Good marriages are built on more than two nice Christians getting married. Since the purpose of marriage is to glorify God and serve Him well together, I realized that I need to marry a guy with whom I could serve the Lord effectively.

We can use our words to build up or we can use our words to tear down. We can speak life or we can destroy. We can encourage godly leadership or we can diminish it.

Whether you are single or married, one of the most effective ways to influence godly leadership in men is through words of encouragement.

If a man truly understands the gospel, and truly understands what Christ did for him, he will be passionate about Christ. If he's not passionate about his relationship with God, you need to know why. Why isn't he passionate about the Savior who gave up His life for him?
