Desire and Commitment to Win

Do I want one (a state title)? Dang right, but I'm not gonna sell my soul for one. I'm a purist. There are a lot of different championships.

They have big plans. In the next couple of years, they can make a run for the national championship.

They won't be satisfied until they bring glory and a state championship to Cypress Lake High School.

We aren't worried about winning a championship for Columbus. We don't care about the other teams. We are only worried about winning for Kendrick High School. Hopefully, we can win a couple more games and bring Kendrick back a championship. A lot of people in Columbus don't want us to win.

This doesn't matter at all. We want the championship.

You want to win a ring? You want to win a national championship? Everybody sees this program going up, especially on the inside.

You can't be disappointed with a state championship, that's what everybody has been telling me.

We have to get back to a Big 12 championship. I don't think there's any doubt in our minds that we can win the North.

We see it's there. It's hard not to think like 'Aw, national championship!' but we've just got to stay focused.

Focus on the Process and Journey

We haven't even talked about a national championship. Now we have to talk about beating Clemson.

There isn't a better place to play the defending state champions than in a stadium named Grande.

Legacy and Impact

If that national championship happens, I'm pretty positive that I'll just be a distant memory. God knows I pray for it all the time.
