The competition is going to move up drastically, so we need to make improvements. Teams are going to test us a lot more, so we'll have to respond.

The first match is an equalizing factor. There's always a little bit of nerves and rust to shake off.

The first day is always scary. But I felt like we played well.

I didn't think that we had the edge that we needed to have. I didn't think we fought hard. Auburn obviously did, but I am happy to get a win.

I have the difficulty and luxury of having five guys who could play one through five in the lineup. But it is obviously an important decision.

I'm sure it will motivate them. They're a top-10 school without a top-10 ranking.

The No. 1 ranking gives us confidence, but we need confidence from being battle tested. Miami is sure to do that.

It's a tremendous blow. To lose anybody it is, but when you lose somebody at the top of the lineup, it affects everybody else because everybody else has to move up.

They're pitcher did a good job. We want to win. We feel like we're good enough to win a couple games here if we can get things going. We have to have everybody participating.

Again this year, we're one of five teams that have a good chance (of winning it all) and we're happy with that.
