The museum existed in some incarnation or another for many years. It moved around as different things, but five years ago we were able to make it to a permanent location. This year we decided to celebrate and host an annual event.

There's going to be a lot going on for just one day.

I was actually a fan of hers before I became the director here. We'll be showing The Killers, at 10 a.m., The Barefoot Contessa, at 12:30 p.m., and Show Boat at 3 p.m.

She was an incredible human being, a strong, independent woman, and she did a lot of charity work. It's easy to become enamored with who she was and what she did.
