These guys grew up hitting it hard and wanting to hit it hard. You can always learn to temper it. It's hard to go the other way, learning to hit it straight first.

He's matured a tremendous amount. He can play at the next level.

That's as impressive a record as any that he's got. A lot of times he's already locked up a spot in the line-up, but he never will settle for less than his best effort.

It's not a bunch of psycho-babble. I know our guys were very relaxed and comfortable in sharing their thoughts and feelings on this, and sometimes guys really don't want to let you know what they're feeling. Dr. Weiner helped them deal with that. He's very good.

It's hard to describe the significance John has had on our program. He's given us so much credibility for what we're trying to do here.

The best thing about him is that John is motivated by golf. He's motivated by winning tournaments and by beating people, not by how much money he's going to make or what's out there.

We might talk about that a little when we get down there, but we've mainly been focused on preparing and just trying to get better.

There are guys out there who can hit it with him in terms of distance, but I've never seen somebody who hits it that far and that straight. I told people he'd be a better pro than an amateur -- and he had a great amateur career -- because he could use his strengths to separate himself from the field. On tour, if you can hit it far and straight, you can get at those flags in the corners with a short iron. John can do that. I think he's the best driver of the ball in the game.

We have been playing quite well lately and just simply had one of the worst weeks in a long, long time on the greens.

This season has gone very, very well considering the youth we're playing. I'm very pleased with our play this year.
