Love yourself. Someone has to. Sure, some people will hate you for who and what you are – but they’re not perfect either.

There is a word which sums up this ‘separate but equal’ mentality – Apartheid. And we all know how separate and how equal that was.

Democracy is government by the people, for the people. Without the responsibility of the people, and without the involvement of the people – all you have left is GOVERNMENT.

It seems to me that those who claim to be ‘true’ and ‘bible believing’ Christians and yet spend all their time and energy spreading unhappiness and hatred for others – and are themselves consumed by it – are by the very definition of the term – false prophets.

I don’t think it matters so much who we love – what matters is that we love.

The only marches I have ever witnessed under a banner of so-called “Christianity” have been to enforce oppression and incite hatred and intolerance – and to deprive people of their equal civil rights.

How anyone can vote to support any form of fascism, knowing history, is beyond me – which leads me to draw the conclusion that either the people who voted to support it don’t know what they are doing – or that they know exactly what they are doing.

When religion ceases to be speculative and becomes factual and “true”, it will become science. Science can be used to prove or disprove opinions, beliefs and accusations. Until any religion crosses that line, who is anyone to use their religion to judge others?

Everybody should be equal in a democracy – that is the nature of a democracy.

The idea that all people can and should live together in peace is not really a new one – but yet in practice it is very young indeed.
