I just wish we could have had another one that would have given us points. If that would have happened, you never know what the outcome may have been.

It looks like (MSU) is playing with a lot of confidence on both sides of the ball and on special teams. I think they're one of the most improved teams in the conference over the last couple of years.

I've always believed that you can't worry about injuries, especially this time of year. I choose to see the positives. It's just part of the process of having a physical spring practice, which we're always gonna do. It's helping develop our depth is how I look at it.

The thing that I am most excited about with this class is that I think it backs up what we said when I first started back in March 2003. We want to recruit the state of Kentucky better than anybody does, and this signing class states that with nine kids from the state.

The word 'finish' is a popular word around here, back to 2002. It's just a mentality of playing every play like it's your last, and we came out and were a little satisfied with how the first half of it went. We have to learn that when you have someone down, you gotta finish them off.

The top three backs are out, so that right there is proof that we're gonna need as many as we can possibly have. That's crazy when you think about it, but it can happen very easily because we're gonna run the football, so we just have to build the depth. I think we've really been able to do that this spring.

We've just scratched the surface in being able to communicate with him so that he can play our defense. Right now, we're relying mostly on the written word I'd personally like to take basic sign language lessons and continue to develop better ways to communicate with him.

We'd like nothing better than to have people from all parts of our community come out and get involved in this. We appreciate what our fans mean to this program.

It definitely made us limited on some things. Philip Bates has shown, in the time that he's been able to get in there, that he's a strong back that gets positive yards, and he's hard to bring down.

He's been a two-year starter there and is certainly working on improving his game. We're looking for some depth there and someone who can challenge him.
