Every team is flawed. There hasn’t been a truly complete team in a while.

Sometimes you’re blessed with teams that are incredibly talented, but there’s chaos. But sometimes you’re blessed, as I have been this year, to have kids who think the same way you do.

My best advice to you – shut up.

I never would have expected that coming into the game.

I pulled Marcus off and berated him as much as I possibly could. Marcus didn't come out with the kind of enthusiasm that he needs to.

Marcus Johnson, who works very hard in our practice sessions, looks better in games than he does in practice. I like that.

He's becoming a tough guy not to play. You know he's going to guard folks. You know he's going to fill the lanes; he's a great fast break player. And you know he's tenacious.

Marcus made a mistake, like every other student on this campus. I don't feel there's any question that Marcus has profited. Some people miss shots and continue to miss shots because they don't learn. Marcus has learned a great deal.

I have said since the beginning of this process that we should never be in the business of abandoning young men who have made a mistake and I am glad that we will not be doing that,

It was really fitting that Denham had such a great game. He was a horse out there, as far as handling the ball, especially when Marcus played such a poor first half. We sat Marcus down, talked about the Dow Jones and some other things. He came back and got us going.
