It's a fear nobody is exempt from--a fear that can cripple us even when we have our priorities correctly aligned and are wholeheartedly committed to following God's call. This is the fear of failure. I believe this fear constitutes the greatest barrier to our callings.

It is only when we dare to be still and listen to God that our sins become apparent.

At the core of each of us is an identity secure in Christ, which leads to an ongoing, unbroken relationship with him.

This is our challenge today: to see our callings in the context of the wider world. We are not called to sit apart from the world, but to engage with it in the light of Christ.

Discovering a calling is not like doing a Google search; it does not happen in an instant. We need to be intentional about taking action rather than just waiting for our calling to drop into our laps.
