The district has been very successful doing the things we've done for the last 13-15 years. Our focus will remain on student achievement and doing everything we can to help every child be successful. That overall goal dictates everything else we do.

It is totally different from a normal school day and they try to keep things as normal as possible up until the day when we are actually doing the testing and then we drop into a different kind of routine.

Between classes, eight students walked the halls cheering, blocking the hallways, chanting. They were protesting.

I think that any student who's been paying attention would have a basic idea of the fundamentals of the bill. They know the rudimentary meaning. Do they know the depth? No, probably not.

We're on a totally different schedule on testing day.

I was from a farming town. That (background) gave me a lot of the values that I have today.

We are proud of the student who reported this. Students and staff are reacting just like we want. We tell them to take control of their campus.
