The first report we get is not always the first time a crime has been committed. And there are a lot of (domestic violence) cases that never make it to our office for prosecution.

This has really given everyone a better understanding of what each other's role is. It's helped foster a relationship between agencies.

As we pursued the funding, we brought a number of service providers to the table to discuss the needs. The support of the different agencies from around the county was very high.

We're realizing already that we may have gone too small with our (Riverside) facility.
