Luther maintained that good works do not make a man good, but a good man does good works.

In all facets of life - whether money, clothes, work, education, politics, cars, entertainment, or anything else - and in every decision involving these, Christians need to strive with their baptism against the flesh, not with the flesh against the Spirit!

Like the seamless robe of Christ, Holy Scripture will be treasured whole or gambled away whole.

Granted that good works are to be done, are they a cause, or "input", which helps bring about justification? Or are they a symptom, result , or "output" from a justification already received and possessed through faith?

When Scripture speaks, God speaks, and the matter is settled.
