It's individual, especially on the men's side. I want to see how the freshmen compete. From the team perspective, it's irrelevant on the women's side. We won't even have a team score.

This meet has no restrictions as to who can compete.

They do feel a sense of urgency. They've been second for the last two years, and they know that the defending champion in (Missouri State) has graduated quite a few. So they feel like they could step up into that spot this upcoming fall.

Of course we'd like to challenge for the win. But realistically, if we could finish top three in the conference, with those (graduated seniors), it'd be a productive year for us.

She is able to run, but it's really painful. As a coach, you've got to figure out what you can put a kid through. It's an ethical thing. It could be good, but it could be not as good.
