All year long we've been talking to our guys that 75 points is enough, 80 points is enough, 67 points is enough. We have to get better defensively.

This is a great atmosphere for college basketball. Their students were great, and our folks who came over were great, too.

Davidson was good tonight. They were efficient and we weren't aggressive defensively. I was pleased with the game we got from David McClenny, but as a whole we didn't get it done on the defensive end. We are a totally different team on the road defensively right now than what we are at home and hopefully we can get it back together.

As difficult as that will be, in a way it's like a tournament-type week. You've got no time to prepare for the next team, so it gives us a little bit of a simulation before we go into the Southern Conference tournament. At least that's the way we'll try to approach it.

It would be more fun if we were battling for one of the byes or higher seeds. We're fighting for a little pride and an ounce of momentum before the tournament.

Each time we play in this type of environment, we play a little better. Hopefully, that will continue with the upcoming game against NC State. We are in a tough stretch right now.
