As we have gotten further away from Sept. 11 and we've had more debate about what the government is doing and whether it is justified, and whether it's really protecting us or just taking away rights, those concerns have been growing.

People have a lot on their mind and many things demanding their attention. There's a war going on, and other things.

We want the local police to do what they were meant to do -- protect their citizens.
