Heath's goal was to be a three-time state champion. For him, it was pretty disappointing, I'm sure, but, hopefully, he can take some inspiration from this and be back next year.

We had some errors, and it dropped the girls' morale, then they lost confidence in themselves. It's our one bad game for the week. We are looking forward to playing Tombstone on Thursday. If we win against Tombstone, we'll go to state.

We couldn't find our bats. Our game in two weeks will tell if we go to state.

Overall, as a team, we had a good defense. We just need to work on our pitching. We're coming around slowly, but surely we'll get there. Once they saw that they could do it, they did.

On Friday, our boys really showed up to wrestle, but on Saturday, we didn't do that as well as we needed to.

We need to pick up our intensity in practices, now, to get ready. We've hit a plateau right now, so we've got to reach another peak.

We're starting to wrestle up to our potential. There were some tough teams, and it showed us where we need to get to by (the state tournament).
