If you look at it, we were really close to being an undefeated team. I was really proud of them. They competed like the old NU teams, and the new NU teams, I'm sure.

I'm looking to play somebody up North, and I'm looking to pick up two good teams.

We practice and plan for the unexpected. But that play was a testament to the heart of our team because no matter what, they never gave up on a play.

We had an outstanding group of kids who all got along. They've come a long way against a lot of adversity, so it's been fun to see them buy into the program and it was fun to see the community get so excited.

I am extremely glad to see that this project has been approved and is moving forward. It should be a real source of pride for the community and will benefit all Madera students and athletic programs from high school to youth sports.
