You can't win unless your pitcher is throwing strikes. She's thrown a lot of strikeouts. But she has a good defense behind her. ... If she gives up a hit, they will make the play.

If everything is equal and we get no bad bounces, I think we have a chance for states. I'm confident that the team can do it.

If my defense is weak, and giving up 2-3 runs, we're dead.

That probably turned the game. If she doesn't make that play, they've got second and third with two outs. Then, they could get a base hit or a passed ball and the game turns around.
