The Hawaii Medal of Honor is a symbol of our remembering those who stood tall for our values so that we may live in a land perpetuated in righteousness.

In terms of repair and maintenance funds, it's certainly the year to give them a bigger boost than the last several years. From my perspective, I'm happy the House added things like money for the weighted student formula and for fixing the schools.

It can't go back to business as usual.

The per-pupil (funding) covers everything a school needs ? electricity, water, all the expenses a regular school has ? except it doesn't cover capital improvement or building a new school.
