Once they were in the hospital, they would break down. They had held it in, but they wanted to tell their stories. It was unreal what they went through.

It's definitely gratifying to her. She had come within a stroke or two the past two years and wanted to win this event before she graduated. She's had a tough season - scoring higher than she usually does - but today everything fell back into place for her.

It was a rough week, without enough rest, but it doesn't compare to what the citizens of that state went through.

There was no question of our going with the hospital, ... It was, 'What do you need and when will you be back?'

This is awesome for me since this is my first year winning the event,

Our score puts us competitive to qualify for state, ... All of our girls have improved steadily throughout the season and if we improve just a little bit we will go back to state.
