All of this is possible because of volunteers. There's nothing like it.

The scholarships don't necessarily have to be used at a university. If someone wanted to go to a technical school, or even something like hairdressing school, they could use it for that, too.

I think it's a true experience of what fire service is all about. It's why this all came about.
