The last tournament we had three scores in the 70s and now we've got four scores in the 70s and Whitney Shaw with that 83. She had her best round yet. I tell you I couldn't be happier. This is what we need to do right now.

The course was playing difficult, that's why the scores are a little higher. That back nine is difficult. It's tight and there are a lot of hazards, so if you're not right on, you can get in trouble in a hurry. I'm not saying the front nine was easy, but that back-nine was a monster.

The girls weren't real pleased with the scores, but a lot of that is that they expect to shoot so well each time out. But I'm real proud of them for sticking it out on a very difficult course. You never know with golf what that particular day is going to bring.

Hickory Ridge is a difficult golf course. If you don't hit the ball in the fairway, you can get in a lot of trouble. Our girls did a great job dealing with its small greens and rolling fairways.

I?m very pleased how the girls played today. I?m excited for the whole team.

I'm real proud of how well the girls responded. Playing without Marissa and playing in rainy, windy conditions, the girls came through.

They've played against each other quite a few times over the past few seasons and they battle it out every time. It's all business when those two step on the course. They both want to win and they're both very talented golfers.

It's nice to get off to a good start. The girls have come right out and played well. We hope to keep it rolling.

It's probably going to be wet and windy out there Monday, so the course definitely won't get any easier. We're going to have to bear down and play well. It's going to be another tough test.

There were a lot of good teams both from Illinois and Missouri here, and the course was playing very tough,. This was a great test for the girls.
